  • #WET02 -  Senior Process Technician and Head Process Technician

    An exciting opportunity to work within a state of the art manufacturing facility in a world first venture making engineered wood product here in NZ.
    OELTM Optimised Engineered Lumber was developed over a period of 10 years by Wood Engineering Technology and its first fully automated plant is operating in Gisborne, NZ.   A range of roles are available including Assistant Process Technicians, Process Technicians, Senior Process Technicians and Head Process Technicians. 
    You will be working with latest technologies and processes including Industry 4.0 concepts and continuous improvement ideology.  There are a large number of machine centres utilising sophisticated control systems and sensors, including robotics and scanning technologies.  This is an opportunity to be part of a progressive company that values teamwork, is open, supportive and focussed on achieving the best outcomes possible for staff and the organisation.
    All positions are full time.  As the plant operates 24/7, you will need to be comfortable working within a shift regime.  
    Members of the Process Technician’s team will be responsible for the day to day up keep and maintenance of the plant equipment together with delivering continued improvement to production equipment and processes.  Senior process technician roles will be expected to lead by example and help foster a productive, collaborative and rewarding work environment. Head Process Technicians will additionally be responsible for a of team of staff and championing continuous improvement and innovation.
    Remuneration is highly competitive and as you grow and develop within the organisation you will have opportunities of progression including progression to roles supporting business expansion and R&D initiatives.

    As a Process Technician you will hold an Electrical Service Technician Registration or a Mechanical Trade Certificate and have experience in an electrical or mechanical space, experience in industrial environments and have worked with and around Scada, HMI & PLC systems.
    As a senior member of the process technicians team you will have a Trade or engineering qualification in a field relevant to an advanced manufacturing environment, experience in industrial operations, mechanical or electrical experience, have practical hands on experience within a mechanical or electrical capacity, experience in maintenance and repair, experience with plant automation including operating Scada & PLC systems, be familiar with mechanical and electrical equipment and supporting services and been involved in development and implementation of new or enhanced plant equipment.
     
    Additionally as a Head Process Technician you will previously held roles successfully leading and managing people.

    Our Sales Manager requires support in a growing wine export, production and supply business.
     
    The purpose of this role is to ensure that our clients are delivered a high standard of customer service along with accurate order dispatch and follow up on requests for information, samples and enquiries. 
     
    You will need to have up to date computer skills and the ability to learn an in house, industry specific software, use of Microsoft Office and a friendly manner with a capacity to provide excellent customer service.
     
    You will provide office based support to the Sales Manager by ensuring that our customers receive the product on time, to specification and provide follow up service.  This includes dispatch, tracking, recording and advising customers that their product is due to arrive and managing any customer enquiries.
     
    If you enjoy doing your best for the customer, you will enjoy this role.  Work with a professional, friendly team in a lovely new office environment.

    This kitchen company builds special kitchens reflecting individual tastes and requirements.  You can help customers decide on their dream kitchen by using your flair and personality to help them to make good decisions.
     
    This job involves a friendly meet and greet and relationship building with the customer.  Understanding their needs and then converting their ideas into suitable products and layout.  You will measure up their kitchen area and then return to the office to start creating their kitchen on the CAD computer system.  This is a rewarding role with the satisfaction of creating beautiful kitchens.
     
    To work in this role, you need a high level of computer literacy, (the CAD programme can be taught), use of Microsoft Office to an intermediate/advanced level.  A creative flair and interest in colours, designs and textures.  A bubbly, happy personality and the ability to relate to all customers and their own individual requirements.  Good listening skills required.  An eye for detail and ability to take accurate measurements and produce a high standard of presentation material.  A current drivers licence and a genuine interest in design.
     
    This position is full time, permanent from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
