  • #WET 018 -  Process Technicians

    Process Technicians are required for Wood Engineering Technology's new Gisborne based facility towards the commencement of 2018.  You may have an electrical, industrial automation or mechanical background and be interested in working in an innovative and automated facility with like minded individuals.   
    Wood Engineering Technology plans to be a world leader in innovative, high performing and sustainable engineered wood products. We believe our products can play a key role in providing optimized solutions to meeting the demands residential and commercial construction sectors both locally and abroad.
    Our advanced manufacturing facilities apply the latest technologies and processes available globally to our wood processing capabilities including Industry 4.0 concepts. The team are focused in harnessing the best outcomes from these technologies and continue to develop and improve our people, products and processes, while remaining highly focused on our customer’s needs. 
    Energised individuals are required to fulfil the roles of Process Technicians within our new manufacturing facility. The roles are essentially required to make the production process as fast and resilient as possible while producing product that meets the required quality criteria. This is achieved by various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science.
    As a Process Technician, you will also be part the team responsible for day to day up keep and maintenance of the plant equipment together with delivering continued improvement to production equipment and processes.
    As you grow and develop within the organisation you will have the opportunity of progression through to senior and head process technician roles. Opportunities may also exist in parts of the business supporting business expansion and R&D initiatives.
    You will be an experienced fitter or electrician and will have a  trade or engineering qualification in an electrical or mechanical capacity.  As this is an advanced manufacturing facility a willingness to learn new technologies and ways of working is a must. Experience in automation and control systems would also be a real bonus.

    The business is a 24/7 operation and you will have to comfortable with working within a shift regime.
