The Position

This is a permanent role working with schools throughout the Gisborne region.  You will be the “go-to” IT person with solutions, leading projects and generally supporting the IT within schools, knowing that you have the expertise of the national team to help you perform.

Key Requirements:

• A quick thinker and natural troubleshooter with strong diagnostic skills
• Professional and well presented – you’ll be the face of Fusion
• Able to work autonomously and prioritise a busy workload
• Comfortable working onsite with our customers, supporting users of all technical abilities
• A can-do attitude and thirst for continual learning
• The tech: ChromeOS, Windows and Windows Server, Mac, iOS, Office 365/Google Workspace, MDM, Networking (Switching, Wireless, Firewalls and Content Filtering), Infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP), Hardware Troubleshooting, Backups (On-Site and Cloud), Storage (NAS/SAN)
• Microsoft, Google, Cisco or Apple certifications would be a bonus
• Passionate about IT and continuous learning
• Clean driver licence, own car, clean criminal record and legal right to work in NZ

Key Responsibilities:

This role provides support and maintenance for ICT for the Gisborne education sector.  You will be working on site at various schools throughout Gisborne on a scheduled basis.  Other duties include –

• Leading projects and delivering service and support for “anything that plugs in”
• Exposure to a huge range of technologies both familiar and cutting edge
• Supported by Team Leader and close-knit and supportive team
• Travel between sites in own reliable vehicle
• Being part of a growing team of IT Engineers

The Location:

Based in Sunny Gisborne where there are no traffic jams and endless beaches.
