About the business:-


Wood Engineering Technology Gisborne Ltd is a state of the art, fully automated, world first plant producing Optimised Engineered Lumber. This is a “hands on” role where you will be working with state-of-the-art control and sensor systems, robotics, and fully automated machinery.

Key Responsibilities:-


You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the plant equipment together with delivering improvement to production equipment and processes including problem solving and troubleshooting on a wide range of machinery. You will work in a small team of like-minded individuals. This is an exciting new venture, with one plant fully operational and another due to be built in early 2022. This position is full time. As the plant operates 24/7 you will need to be comfortable working shifts – 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.

Key Requirements:-


– Successful candidate will hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate or minimum level 5 National Certificate in a relevant field. – You will have great hands-on mechanical engineering experience and skills. – Analysis and problem-solving skills. – Ability to use computers and technology as part of your day-to-day role.

The Location:-


Based in Sunny Gisborne where there are no traffic jams and endless beaches.

This role would suit candidates with a work history (but not limited to) of a fitter, electrician, control engineer, mechanical engineer, process engineer, industrial engineer, maintenance engineer particularly if you have an interest in mechatronics, and automation.
